Our Story

Hi!  

 

We're the Kolshak Family and welcome to our small farm with big dreams! 

 

This farm was inspired by our three daughters, who love to roam and be free.  Raising kids in open spaces while working the land seemed a lofty idea for a couple with no background in farming (Brian is a structural engineer and artist, Chelsea is in healthcare).  And yet, we kept coming back to this central need to be more present-  with each other and with nature.

And so began our journey as Wild Child Flower Farm.

 The intent of this farm is in its namesake:

 

First- let the WILD be.  We use sustainable and regenerative farming techniques, allowing nature's ecosystems to lead the way, hoping to leave the land a little better than we found it.

Second- create a simpler way of life and share it with others. This hurried world always seems to ask for more of us all, leaving less time for what's real.  We have our daughters to thank for reminding us to live more intentionally, more presently.  We believe there's an inner CHILD in us all.  One who takes in the wonders of nature, one who craves the simpler things in life, one who lives present in the here and now.  ​​​
